February 27 & 28 at the Murray Arts Center (dance center), Salt Lake City's West Coast club will be sponsoring a workshop by Terry Roseborough and his partner Kara Przybyla.

He's very light hearted and improvisational and it shows in his teaching too. They'll be putting together three WCS classes, one Night-club and one Salsa class on Sat. the 28th. Friday night they'll be out social dancing with us at the MAC and they're sure to draw a crowd larger than usual....I believe they'll be doing a show-case at some point in the night.
If you're a Lindy Hopper that secretly, or openly dabbles in the "other" side of the dance; you won't want to miss out... especially Friday night. PM if you're interested in Saturdays schedule and pricing. They also have 2 or 3 private slots left.

I have dabbled in Westy a bit lately at the MAC. I've found some Westies intolerable. I restrained myself from telling a follow who felt that Lindy is "vulgar," that if she took the stick out of her rear end, she might learn to follow some day.
I met a westie follow in the blues room of the Skillet at ULX who outspokenly declared her contempt for Lindy Hop when I brought it up.
She wasn't very comfortable there in the blues room, either.

Just a reminder about this Friday at the MAC: Terry and Kara will be social dancing with us, teaching and show casing some of their dancing. If there's a group of ten or more dancers from the forum that'd like to make it out, I can get you a discount of $2 off the $7 cover but you have to arrive at the door as a group. Let me know on this forum or preferably on the SwingUtah forum.

thanks dan for letting me know about this. it was great dancing with old friends and the stellar westie follows. shoot they really know how to rock it. solid west coast swing dancers remind me how much i have to learn about lead-follow every time i dance with them (not verbally, i mean by example). what a treat!! =)

We've got Terry and Kara coming back for another party in six months and in two months we have another pro wcs couple coming to town. Pretty much the same formant; friday night social dance and exhibition with workshops on Saturday. I'll post when we have a solid date! Thanks.
