Speaking of national headlining DJs, Naomi Uyama is the head DJ for the weekend and will be your contest DJ. The LOTR staff is thrilled to have her. Besides being a kickass dj, she's also a stellar dancer. Check our her DJ bio and website below.
DJ Bio
Naomi Uyama discovered jazz over ten years ago through her love of swing dancing. Her interest lead her to a 'History of Jazz' internship at the Smithsonian Institution's American History museum. When she's not traveling in the name of lindy hop, singing in her car, or loving libraries, Naomi lives in D.C. where she helps run "The Jam Cellar"- Washington's best dance venue for classic jazz.
For more about Naomi, go here: http://www.naomiuyama.com/
This is the last day for the $99 registration unless you're going to Frankie's Bash.
Flights are $119 for August 14-17, but we're easily within driving distance for those of you that prefer carpooling.

Did I mention that we have one of the most amazing late night venues ever?!! For our Friday and Saturday late night dances, we're going downtown to Baur's Ristorante. Located in the heart of LoDo, this very cool, full restored landmark building features decor from the 20s, fantastic wood floors and promises to be one of the most fantastic places for late night lindy hop, eating and hanging out with your friends in Denver! Our hotel block is walking distance from the classes and only 50 feet away from the late night venue, and at only $102 per night, the Courtyard Downtown Denver Marriott is the place to be. Just ask for the Lindy on the Rocks rate. If you want to be hosted instead of staying at the hotel, Big Mike is still going to handle that for us.
Proceeds are donated to jazz dance and music school programming for our youth, so your participation and enjoyment at Lindy on the Rocks also supports a great cause. Register now! Passes are $119 until midnight May 31. Then they are $129. You can also register for competitions online now.
Reminder! Frankie 95th Festival attendees - $99 for an LOTR weekend pass until 5/30. Check previous posts for further details or email us at the address below.
Finally... flights are still rated a buy at www.farecast.com for the LOTR weekend.

More LOTR updates!
Book your hotel reservations at the Courtyard Downtown Denver Marriott for $102 a night. Call Marriott reservations at 1 (800) 321-2211 or (303) 571-1114, mention Lindy on the Rocks or CMDance. The hotel reservation cutoff date is July 17. This venue is maybe 50 steps away from Baur's Ristorante. That's assuming that you can barely walk after the awesome late night dancing and amazing food.
There will be a late night FOOD PASS for $30. This includes Friday, Saturday and Sunday late night meals. The LOTR late night menu will be published on the website soon, but until then, feast your eyes on their regular menu.
On Sunday, there will be an evening dance at the Cheesman Park Pavilion from 6-10pm. It is open to the public and will feature a picnic, dancing, performances, and awards!
