    BAL JAM
    September 5-7, Phillidelphia.

    www.baljam.com

This is the last week to catch our early-bird registration price of $85. (Deadline ends Aug. 15) Our super-All-Bal deal was cheaper than a tank of gas. This is only cheaper than a tank of gas if you drive an SUV, but it's still cheaper. Also, we have a few new reasons why you should sign up.

Don't forget about our impressive line-up of instructors who will be on hand to dance, give private lessons, and teach. Others include Nick Williams, Sylvia Sykes, David Rehm, Valerie Solstrom, Marty Klempner, Mickey Fortanasce, Kelly Arsenault, Chris Owens and Holly Owens, and your hosts, Kate Hedin and Bobby White.

Second of all, on Saturday afternoon we will have the BALBOA COLLOQUIUM, a collection of classes never seen before, developed by the Bal Jam team with help from David Rehm. ere's what's in store:

Workshop 1: Guys and Girls. The guys and girls will break apart so that people can discuss the arts of leading and following in secret forts that don't allow members of the opposite sex.

Workshop 2: Instructor's Forum. In this forum, instructors get to ask each other questions, and you get to listen in on the answers. Expect demonstrations, insightful explanations, heated arguments, furniture throwing, and bad puns.

Workshop 3: Creating New Moves. See the instructors in their natural habitat as they play around with creating or inventing moves. See the process the best dancers go through to change the face of balboa, or simply come up with new class content. Ask questions and interact to see why they do what they do.

Workshop 4: Bal-Jam Wide Private Lesson. Have a problem with your toss-out? Have a nagging question about a move?? Get a few minutes to ask an instructor about it and have them help you out.

We'll also have a wide assortment of games and craziness.
