sausage fest. great. nice original name too. it won't make the potential customer feel "second-fiddle" or that it's a regurgitation of a previous financially successful event from a marketing standpoint. not a chance.

wish i actually wanted to learn from a lead in this state not named ron.

but I hope things continue to succeed on the skillet's end, for everybody's sake.

I'll have to start watching you dance spence if you've got nothing to learn from Shane, Jeremy, Grant, etc..

As for finances, the skillet has always been done for the love of dancing and the promotion of swing in Utah. VBubbles expressed the opinon that Utahns should be paying more for their dancing. He claimed a greater financial cost for a lesson might sort out the people who enjoy swing from the people who are just bored.

I'm excited for dancing feedback and ideas from lots of people. I can sort out what works for me with more practice.

Note that he didn't say he's got nothing to learn from them... just that he doesn't really want to learn from them. Furthermore, he wishes he did want to learn from other people. It was pretty snarky, but I think I'd classify it as "ha-ha-only-serious".

I know the difference between 'desire to learn' and 'nothing to learn from' (mostly a motivating factor), but in context, I saw little difference and felt justified in bridging the gap. As awesome as Ron is, Ron is the only Ron out there, and you will never be Ron. Every dancer needs to be themselves, and take what they can from experienced dancers who are around and above their level of dancing.

    Ron shouldn't, but Spencer should!

Excessive rude sarcasm makes me cranky.
