All of us have varying budgets of time, money and energy which determine which Dance events we attend. Frequently factors such as past experience with a specific event, motivation and friends who are going or who live in the area determine which events we spend our budgets on.

That stated, which events are you going to this summer and why? Which events do you think are really fun? Which events do you want to go to?

I'm seriously considering Tucson Lindy Bomb in a couple weeks, because: I hosted some of the organizers for ULX; There should be cool bands; It's a good chance to try a non-Utah workshop. I'm trying to get a feel of who else is going before I commit.

Seattle exchange is also supposed to be really great and I'll most likely go come August, but I didn't last year because I couldn't find good plane tickets.

Where else are people going/ should I go?

Stuff I want to go to this summer (in chronological order):

    Tucson Lindy Bomb
    Come Rain, Come Shine
    JKLBX
    Seattle Lindy Exchange

It looks like I probably won't be ready to go in time for Tucson. [Emoticon not found] Given that, I think my goal is to hit CRCS, and then maybe if I'm lucky, I might make SeaLX as well.

The Lindy Bomb is a Tucson's big event for the year, somewhat of a combination of an exchange and a workshop. Lots of bands and a track each of Lindy and blues workshops.

The original TLB started last year as Strider's baby. The went over budget getting some of his favorite people there. That explains the smaller size, this year. They may have limited instructors for the event this year, but they felt they were piling on a load of fun bands.

Of course that's what the organizers told me when they stayed at my place for ULX. For more, you'll just have to look at http://www.tucsonlindybomb.com/ .

So the price break for Seattle is tonight. Anyone putting together a car pool before I lay down $275 on a flight?
