So how much extra are you paying for 20+ WCS and Salsa instructors that you won't take classes from?
Hopefully that gets balanced out by the people who take WCS/Salsa and pay, but don't take lindy?
Considering that you would only pay about $100 for the whole weekend of instructors I think anyone who attends will get more then they are paying for. Thats just my opinion. Id pay $150 just for the lindy instructors but when you add the blues instructors to that Id say it is well worth the money. Id also like to take Rodney Aquinos Bachata class I saw som Bachata the other week on TV and it looked like the moves and feeling of the dance would transfer over to Lindy and blues well.
if i were going, i'd take the westie workshops. if i'm paying for them already, why not?
I suppose $100 is reasonable for a full weekend of workshops, and I probably would try to mix it up with classes from all the different dance styles. It just seems like a nightmare to organize. And I don't get a lot out of days full of classes and nights full of dancing.

I think its all in the not planning of things. if you are thinking of what you plan to do all day it gets you worn out before you do it. So I make sure I have the event locations and descriptions with me and only think one or two classes ahead of time. Some may view this as a bad idea but I find more and more that there are classes I take because of the teachers and classes I take because of fun people I know will be in the class with me. I also find that there are people at the workshops that can tell why I should take a particular class from one teacher or another and that is info I dont always have before I get to the workshop

it's a westie event... that means you'll prob'ly have to get a hotel room.
as far as I know we dont have housing but hotels are cheap if you team up with a few people and Ill find out if we can get a discount at the hotel the event will be at

on the webpage, they say it's $94 a night when you mention the event.

Alright Kids,
Reno is coming up and its time to get down to it. This is a call out to my bluesers out there. This is going to be a great event for a lot of reasons, but blues especially. Great Djs and Instructors, our awesome blues party suite with a viewt, a great fun hotel atmosphere with a lot of other dances competitions and fun (Don't forget "The Show" is amazing and Brother Ysef. This is also my first chance to try my hand at some event organizing since chuck gave the blues portion of reno to me. He's really behind blues so if we show him there's a crowd each year he'll let me do more of the things and bring more of the people you want to reno for blues. So come have a good time and help me shape the future of blues at reno. Here's a list below of confirms and maybe's feel free to add to it and send it back to me. I want all of you there.
