Okay everyone! We want to make sure this is very clear so that there is no confusion.

There will be a PRELIMINARY competition this year for the Hellzapoppin' Competition held on Friday night! That means that if you want to compete on Saturday night, you'll have to make it through the competition on Friday night.

If you have more questions about this, please check the website, or e-mail our club at swing.usu@gmail.com

At the free lessons tonight at the Wilk Ballroom at 7, Karen and i (with the assistance of mindy) will be teaching an int/adv lesson on competition lindy hop. Our current topic of choice is "Dancing with Personality" which includes practical methods of using floorspace, dancing with dynamics and other fun stuff.

For other cool ideas check this out this stuff: http://www.youtube.com/profile_videos?user=jamcellar&search_query=old

We can teach those too if interest is high enough.

Here's a video of Frida and Saki teaching what I was trying to teach last tuesday:

Thanks for coming out everyone! I hope that means that many provo peeps are competing this weekend. Thanks for your patience as well, since we did dwell too long on a few concepts, but I was excited about how it all turned out. Again, we covered swingout theory (think open), dynamics, traveling, and phrasing for competitions. I also liked that routine we came up with at the end! Good job you guys!
