This year we are combining our two most popular Orange County events, the OC Lindy Exchange and the 24 Hour Cancer Dance-a-thon! This promises to be the most fun 5 days of dancing you've ever had. You can head out here as early as Wednesday for our amazing, super popular, weekly dance, Southland Strutters' Ball. Then on Thursday night head out to the world famous Lindy Groove just 45 minutes north. Friday Night dance at Atomic Ballroom, an amazing venue with 2 rooms to choose from and as much late night dancing as you can handle. Then for the big deal of the weekend, starting at 10am Saturday morning we start 24 hours of dancing with 10 live bands, lessons by world traveling instructors, dance contests, performances, DJs, a pasta dinner, a pancake breakfast and other fun stuff! The venue even has a co-ed Jacuzzi! Some people stay up for all 24 hours and some people crash in the sleeping room! Your team must be represented by at least 1 member for 24 hours. It's like a relay!
    Step 1. Visit http://www.danceathon.org
Step 2. Register on the website
Step 3. Join or create a team!
Step 4. Ask all your friends, family, and co-workers to support your team's efforts of dancing for 24 hours straight! You will be surprised how many people will he happy to donate for such a good cause. All profits from the event to directly to CIty of Hope for cancer research.

Check out these pictures from last year where geeky swing dancers like us raised over $100,000 by doing what we love! Looking for something different and significant? Join us this year! Guaranteed fun.

Other daytime activities you can do if you come early!
    Disneyland
    Surfing or other beach activities
Private Lessons by top notch So Cal Teachers
Visit Hollywood / See Jay Leno
And yes...so many high end malls.

We will be offering hosting as early as Wed night. If you plan to only make the dance-a-thon you won't need a host [Emoticon not found] The 24 Hour Fitness Ultra Sport has a sleeping area, lockers and showers!
The dance-a-thon venue is .7 miles from John Wayne Airport. The drive is 1 minute. You could walk it![/img]

It's time to get involved! Only 33 more days until the Dance-a-thon. There are 25 teams and over 250 Lindy Hoppers registered for the event. Create a team from your city and represent or join an already established team.

To participate in the Dance-a-thon you only need to raise $50. That's $5 from 10 friends or $10 from 5 friends or $1 from 50 friends. It doesn't matter how you do it... Just do it!!
