Flew down to Phoenix on Saturday and met up with my family to drive out home on Sunday. Went dancing at Kat's Korner-- a venue perhaps familiar to many in our scene. I think it was the first time I've been to a regular weekly venue out of state.

It got me thinking-- I can't particularly compare it to any of our venues, as it's been awhile since I experienced any of them as a visitor rather than as a denizen. Similarities and differences, and I'll let you know if I can quantify any of them.

Saw many familiar faces, though. I was pleasantly surprised to run into our own Staci and Dan (both from Arizona... but I think I knew that). Less surprised to run into Bill Morse, who sends greetings up to everybody, and mentions Tiffany by name.

Met a friend from Portland there-- that was somewhat unexpected.

And, of course, our own geek4life. (Hi!)

So, yeah. It was pretty cool.
