Swing dancing on a sunny beach in Southern Commiefornia. What else could you ask for more? Plus, the OC exchange is only for $30

No, I'm not on the Swing Team. If you see an uncoordinated asian guy who dances at BYU every Saturday night....well, that's me.

This, however, is Ryan a.k.a. popthestack. Isn't he the cutest thing ever? [Emoticon not found]

Hrmmmm... I didn't think I was gonna go to the OC exchange cause I am going to Sac-town the week after, and two roadtrips in a row are a little much for me. Hoooooowever...... it turns out I have a credit with Southwest Airlines from last semester (booked a flight to see the ex-fiance that never was used) and I might be able to use that to go down. Seeing as how the actual exchange is super cheap, and how I have friends down there (and family an hour and a half away), and how I might be able to fly..... I just might be there. it's tempting... but i don't ever have any time. i think i need to limit myself to one exchange a month.

  5.

Was going to bump this post but it appears to be active [Emoticon not found] I hope we see lots of you at the exchange! For any interested in flying that DON'T have flight credits ([Emoticon not found]) it looks like you can get from SLC to LGB (Long Beach, CA) for about $213+tax (obtained from sidestep.com), although you may just want to bum a ride with ash!

We hope you'll come dance on the beach with us! We are expecting a huge turnout.

I mean, you don't want to go all hardcore before you've been dancing for a considerable amount of time or you'll burn out. I didn't travel out of Utah to dance until I'd been swing dancing for over a year. If I would have traveled then like I do now I think I'd have quit. Then again, maybe not. I guess we'll never know.

Some people are different though, but as a general rule you shouldn't travel too much or you risk burning out.

5 exchanges in 3 months is going to be about the max amount I'll ever try to pack into that short space of time. Any more and I'll burn myself out.

Who are you swing dot? Welcome to the forum. That's a good question? I assume you're driving. When do people want to leave and come back? Cami, Justin, Bucket, Sage? Can you drive swing dot? Can you Cami? I can if needed but I'd rather not take my car if I don't have to. Right now it looks like we have 6 people going so we might have to take two cars. (I feel myself being pulled over from the maybes to for sure list.)
