Saturday Feb 11, 2006
6:30pm
WSC Ballroom
This year's dinner, dance and show will take patrons back to 1942 to honor "Women at War."
The evening will begin with dinner from 6:30-7:30 p.m., followed by dancing with live entertainment from the BYU group Synthesis from 7:30-8:30 p.m. At 8:45 p.m., BYU student entertainers will present a music and dance number, followed by a tribute to veterans. The night will end with dancing, which will conclude at 11:30 p.m.
Tickets can be purchased for $32.00 per couple with BYU ID or $40.00 per couple without beginning Monday, Jan. 30 at the WSC Info Desk.
I assume the BYU student entertainers aren't us, or we would have heard something. Heaven forbid we embarass BYU at an official event. No, no, they really want Ballroom "swing".
Isn't ballroom swing an oxymoron?
i don't think it's ballroom, either. my guess is MDT...

Actually, if I remember correctly, we have been asked to help out with this a couple of times. You are making the mistake of thinking that most BYU events are well organized. They will probably ask us to help out a week or two in advance.

Yes, it is.
I figured that we would be asked at the last minute, but I also had to explore other possible scenarios.
Since we know this is coming though, we can be ready. And I was hoping this meant we could dance to Synthesis for free when tickets are 40 big ones.
Woah... stop the press. I just got a call from the orgaizers of Big Band Night. Yeah... I know, THREE weeks in advance [Emoticon not found]
They have asked us to do a performance and then stick around to dance. They will probably also feed us. So Ron will decide which team (or both perhaps since they want two numbers) will be performing and team members will be invited to participate.
