What is Harlem Shout? (aside from the obvious, a Song by Jimmy Lunceford)
Harlem Shout, is a group of dancers who's main focus is the presevation of Swing, Vernacular Jazz and Traditional Lindy Hop. Our goal is to explore and study the dance and music from the 1930's Harlem years. We are a small group, but we are happy to welcome others who might be interested in joining us.

Our purpose isn't to form a group for superiority, profit or gain, but to develop and celebrate Swing without forgetting it's roots, and introduce it to a greater audience, as a group we want to share and show all the dynamics of this 1930's streetdance and music. And explore all the different ways of usng it.

We will be meeting on BYU campus starting in June of 2007. Regular times and days will be posted by the end of the month
