Hopefully it's not Halloween weekend again. That didn't really work out so hot.

Practice makes perfect. I'm not so worried about this event. Faltesek helped make the dance Saturday night at Harlem Nights a success; i'm way stoked about the potential of this. [Emoticon not found] [Emoticon not found]

Yeah, I thought the timing was good too. We had a pretty solid group out on Saturday night. Don't know about Friday though.

I want a workshop with multiple tracks! YAY for multiple tracks!

Seriously, I think it would help out people more than the usual system we use... what's it called? Clump-newbies-old-folks-intermediates-okay-experienced-dancers-into-one-lesson system?

It's called economics. It's not cheap to bring out several special people for lessons. This is pretty cool to have expert instruction for all levels so no on feels left out, but there is a price to make it work.

    DESCRIPTION

    Featuring...

    MIKE FALTESEK
-- Specialist in the History of Authentic Jazz Dance
    & CASEY SCHNEIDER

    RIA DeBIASE
    -- World/National Champion Lindyhopper
    &
    RYAN BORKENHAGEN

We've got a great workshop in the works -- You won't want to miss this one! Several of the best Lindy Hop instructors you can find will be teaching a multi-track super-intense workshop. Two nights of dancing, live music, almost too much swing to handle. October 12th and 13th. Save the date!

    The 'Beginners' Track = $45
    The 'Not-for-Beginners' Track = $55

If you purchase your ticket anytime before the actual event, you get $10 off!!! These can be purchased in the Wilk or at a BYU Swing Kids dance. Tickets are anticipated to go on sale Monday! (We'll let you know if that changes.)

All workshop classes will be on Saturday during the day.

Seattle lindyhopper, Kevin Buster, and his swingin' band, "Lunch Money" will be keepin the floor packed both Friday and Saturday night. Our special guests, Mike and Ryan, keep the spirit alive when the band takes a breather with their classic tunes.

Saturday night will also include a Jack 'n' Jack Competition (which is meant to imply Jill 'n' Jill too) and a Harvest Moon Ball style competition (more on what that means soon).

FYI, Friday night is also FRIDAY NIGHT LIVE. This means that you will pay $2 to get in that night (or less if you get a coupon). So really, the previously mentioned price is just for Saturday day and night events. "Still a good price in my book," says Grant. [Emoticon not found]

Does anyone have a specific time breakdown of the Rockin Rhythm weekend, especially for Saturday. I realize that there are various classes, but I can't seem to find what time each one starts and how long (possibly) they will go. Please let me know asap if you have a link, or just plain know. Either post it, or e-mail me: natebags@gmail.com
