what can I do to convert the streams from
http://www.riverwalkjazz.org/site/PageServer?pagename=stream_all_standard&AddInterest=1141
to an mp3 format?
¿es posible?
the webmaster @ riverwalk won't cooperate.
Thanks.
It looks like it's a .wma. When I finish downloading the whole thing, I can shoot it to you straight that way, or try to mangle it into a different file format.
It took two transcodings, but I have it in .mp3 format. [Emoticon not found] It's about 57MB.
Thanks Foehg
Link should be good for at least a month:

Foehg, If you could upload a digital format of the whole episode of each week's riverwalk jazz - which release each wednesday - I'm sure I could pay you to do it.
thanks
If we can work it this way, I'd rather figure you out how to do it yourself. I think VLC player will do the job, and do it cleaner than I've done it:
vlc is magical.
It's true. Open Source Software (OSS) is the stuff dreams are made of.

that was my intent from the original post. I sent you a pm about it also. I just wasn't sure how to do it or what software I could use.
so thanks for the free technical advice. and I'm slower at learning things than before wrecking my car. I've got it figured out. this took only a few seconds of using the save/stream options in VLC.
Sweet.
I would have told you that straight off the bat, but I didn't know it yet. Instead I spent half an hour dinking around with, like, six other things on my computer trying to get it to work. Since I hadn't found vlc yet.
So you're probably better at it than I am now. [Emoticon not found]
