This is the official ULX carpool thread for Provo. Going down? Offer a ride. Need a ride? Check back here often.
I know that I will be driving down quite a bit but I will be posting my exact times here later.
PS - If someone gives you a ride, pitch in at least $2 for gas.
For the time being, I assume several of us are going up for Ron's/the U dance early on Thurs. Where are we meeting?
I will be going to all the dances, and will be driving my little car, Gilbert. So I can take 1-3 people with me if they need a ride. Plus I have my nifty iPod now so I don't have to listen to Utah's abysmal radio stations.
Maybe we should establish a park and ride location. Unfortunately BYU lots have signs up in the winter prohibiting parking between 1-3 in case they need to plow, otherwise I'd nominate the lot by brick oven (not that my apartment being a couple blocks away doesn't influence my decision).
Ok, here is my schedule:
Thursday - I will be leaving (as in, leaving) here around 6:30pm Thursday to go to Ron's thing for team. So I guess I can only give past semester's team members a ride (unless you want to walk from Ron's place to the U) I plan on staying for a bit after the dance for the activity after the dance at Ron's as well.
Friday - I get out of class at 1 and will be leaving no later than 2 pm for the welcome dance. I will not be returning to Provo as I am staying with friends up in Salt Lake or in Cedar Hills.
Saturday - I plan on going to the Evening and Late night dance and then coming home from American Fork. Some people can ride with me back to Provo.

Hey guys...girls...persons...individuals. I'm in Provo, and my suitcase and I need a ride to Salt Lake either Thursday for the U dance or Friday for the afternoon dance (depending on what a friend of mine wants to do Thursday night). I'll totally chip in for gas and tell you that you're fantastic and the most wonderful person that ever was, and I won't be lying. [Emoticon not found]
I'll crosspost this to swingutah, but I just got stuck with a full size 8 passenger van for the rest of the week. Does anybody have any special needs for this? It's not as cheap to drive as a small car until we fill it.
So...I want to go to the U dance tomorrow night, and it would be fantastic if someone else was going that had room for me and my suitcase. My number is (xxx) xxx-xxxx if you've got room.
Thursday Night:
"Meet and Greet" Pre-Exchange dance at the University of Utah
Location: U of U Union Ballroom
Time: 7:30pm - 10:45pm
i'd like to go, but don't have transportation on thursday. so we should all meet at university mall in orem about 6:30 (that's when i get off work).
who is going? who can drive? (people on team don't count)

I have a full size van that can take anybody and everybody who wants to go to ULX Friday meeting at the KMB at 6:15 PM Friday. I will drive to the Appollo for the dance (we'll be there a little early since they have volunteer training stuff)
After the Apollo, if people want to come back to Provo, I can do that, but for team members who have an invitation to stay at Ron's, or any one else who has a place to stay in SLC, I will then drive up to the late night dance in SLC. I will be doing a fair amount of carpooling as needed all Saturday, so if you want to do the skiing or anything, there's plenty of room to haul stuff.
