sorry, pts said "really sweet" and it reminded me of http://www.realultimatepower.net/. Sorry

I tried portable gaim on campus once, and it didn't work. I will have to try portable thunderbird, but I see fewer and fewer computers that aren't my own anymore.

That's the beauty of not having to use campus labs. With more time you are spending with your computer, aren't you glad that you have Linux installed now?

So um, Ubuntu had an update for firefox and switched it back to a 64-bit version, so I need to figure out what you did to get a 32 bit version running with flash and movies and such.

My guess is that you still have the 32-bit version. You just have to find the binary for the 32-bit version and then symlink /usr/bin/firefox to it. Ie.
    rm /usr/bin/firefox
    Remove symbolic link /usr/bin/firefox? y
    ln -s <path/to/32/bit/firefox> /usr/bin/firefox

And everything should be honky-dory again.

    I don't see firefox in lib32 anymore . . .

I mean there's a couple of plugins directories and the libnssckbi.so, but not a .sh or firfox binary. [Emoticon not found]

RTFA bro - "...not intended as a racial slur..."

It's possible that your package manager removed it. Just look up on the internet how to reinstall it again. It took me all of 10 minutes when I did it.

I've been using foxit reader for a while now, it's so much nicer than the huge adobe reader. I didn't know about the U3 version. Thanks!

It has a find function. I heard foxit didn't. If a pdf reader doesn't have a find function it's almost useless to me.

Oopsie. I got all mixed up. Turns out I have foxit, but it's a U3 version so that's lame. I was referring to Sumatra. That one don't have no find function.
