I think they're doing tickets to keep people without graduates in the audience from making a disturbance. I tried to get tickets, but it seemed like the website wasn't up.
Anyone who's not a graduate won't be able to get tickets until the 23rd or so, and then only what's left over, to a limit of 2 per person. And there'll be no processional. And you have to show up a minimum of two hours early to go through security.

I might have an extra ticket at the end of next week. Distribution begins a week from today.

how much $ ? Could be worth it. I think it'll just get more controversial as it gets closer and make for a seriously popular current event. With all this media attention that Utah gets on this Redest state in the nation vs. Blue-est Mayor in the nation thing going on.

Thanks for askin Roach. Good actually, still going, growin bit by bit, the MAC likes us there cuz they haven't kicked us out...yet. Don't know if any of you have met BJ and Eryn yet, but they help with the venue. We alternate weeks of hosting and teaching and DJing wich is good cuz time is a lot tighter than it used to be for me. They've been great with their enthusiasm for Swing and the venue and promoting it. They've also steered the venue in a decidedly West Coast direction.....they make me feel old skool westie. Like I bet sometimes they laugh at my old moves and such. Kinda funny.
Eryn and Bj and a group of the newer dancers put up that new web site smoothswingslc.com that basicaly replaces the old inbetweenswing.com They've been pretty busy and excited over improving it as time goes by. Also, Eryn and Bj teach an intermediate WCS class on the week they host.
Ya'll should make a trip up to the big city and get ur westie groove on sometime. It wasn't long ago that Buzz and his wife and some friends stopped in. I saw Jason there last week. Michelle comes to DJ occasionally and brings a troop usually.

It was actually really fun. Got to see some old IBS friends and meet some of the new dancers. Now that school is almost out, we should plan a few trips to IBS.
