Elchuy and I will be hosting a swing dance at the KMB on BYU campus (where BYU's dances are usually held) Friday night while all the Sacremento folk are doing that exchange thing. We'll be teaching beginning and intermediate classes from 8:30 till 9:30 and then we'll be DJing the rest of the night. Most likely, dancing will continue afterwards at the Swing House. Please come. It's free.

This event is sponsored by the BYU 206th Ward (our ward [Emoticon not found] ).

Chiming in, I would like to point out that it is actually a tri-ward activity, so there is likely to be more people there than usual. I know more people does not necessarily equal more/better dance partners, but it does make for a more energetic night, which always makes for a better dance experience for all, both experienced dancers and newcomers (at least in my experience). As mentioned the roach and I will be dj'ing, and hopefully there will be some swinging inspiration coming out of the speakers all night long. If you're not headed to Sacramento, be sure and come on down!

Nice job Grant and Thomas. This was a lots of fun and allowed those without the budget of time or money to go to Sac, to show people what we are all about.

It's too bad the hosts of the event spent half the dance in the back of the room. Grant did a great job of pulling people up to the front for Shim Sham, and it helped them get more involved. I certainly hope to see several of those people at our dances in the future.
