I'm getting together a road trip in February either to the Frankie Manning workshops or to the Denver workshops. Who's interested? More info to follow.
Hrmmmm... any idea on the cost of workshops?
San Diego workshops:
Folks.. this is a huge opportunity - to be able to interact with two of Whitey's Original Lindy Hoppers. Minn and Corina will also be teaching some classes.. Two absolutely KICK BUTT dancers! ** Workshops. Live music with Stompy Jones from San Franciso. Surprises. Videos. And more! **
Do not miss this opportunity..
Frankie Manning is $79 for the entire weekend: dances and workshops or $103 for the weekend with lunches. It's $60 for just Sat. It's February 10-12.
I'll post more when they do. More info on www.swingorama.com
Denver workshops info:

Friday night kick-off party with Nationally acclaimed djs! Saturday night Dance with The Gypsy Swing Revue. An awesome Denver band that our dancers have been following to clubs and restaurants lately.
Get registered right away to get the full weekend for only $105!!! It's $70 for just Sat. workshops and the dances. Register and get more info at www.cmdance.org
$99 for non students
i'm interested.
Here's an idea: There are Frankie Manning workshops in San Francisco the following weekend (Feb 17-19), so you should all go out to that instead of San Diego, and in addition to Denver (cause who needs to go to school and have money anyway?). AND (here's the kicker) you can visit me too! [Emoticon not found] I might even be able to give a few of you a place to stay for the weekend if my roomie is cool with it and if you don't mind driving a bit (45 minutes to an hour) to go to the workshops and dances. Please?

And it looks like registration runs from $70-$130, depending on how many workshops and dances you want to go to.
so, if anyone was actually thinking about crashing with at my place that weekend, you'd better let me know soon. otherwise, i'm making other plans involving moving.
Move away! No money for that trip here....
What dates are those ash? I might interested
I think they are both Feb 10-12 but since I didn't get a lot of response I just did the Harlem Nights thing in Logan for my Feb. road trip. Next road trip is Sacramento in March. The 24-26th I think. See the thread in the exchanges message for more info.

I moved! I'm so ecstatic, you have no idea. I'm away from Mopey in a cheaper and cleaner apartment. If you want to know the details, I might post them on MySpace, so that way I don't waste anyone's time who doesn't really care. I'm about to burst out of my skin. The only thing that would make me happier would be a good blues dance. [Emoticon not found]
congrats, traci!

A typo? Sure, I guess that would be a perfectly valid explanation as well.
