I've been excited to hear about WSU's efforts to expand their swing club lately. They've had consistent representation at most of the big swing events in Utah during the last couple years and I loved the Junction City Big Band dances 5-6 years ago (back when fruity first started! :o ).

I just bumped into their website:
    http://wsuswingcats.org/

    This surprised me a bit:

    Membership
For those of you who plan on coming a lot you can purchase a Swing Club Membership for $30 which will get you in for the whole semester. About mid-semester we drop this down to $15. A Swing Club Membership will also get you bonuses when you present your membership card at the following locations:

The Murray Arts Center: $1.00 off admission
The Tropicana Dance Club: $2.00 off admission
The Junction City Band: -still working on a deal-
The Kaysville Street Swing Club: Half off admission
The U of U Swing Club: Half off admission
The BYU Swing Club: Free admission

If you read further, you can also see that the site hasn't been updated in 5 years.

In Texas, I noticed that a lot of the Swing clubs would refer to neighboring clubs as affiliates, and would give them the same or slightly smaller discounts on admission as their own members. This was a reciprocal courtesy shown to the other clubs to encourage participation in each others events.

The Austin Swing Syndicate decided BYU Swing Kids was not an affiliate however, and I had to buy a student membership.

Probably requires some official reciprocal agreement and such. Of course they also have several Swing associations in Texas that aren't affiliated with a school either
