Dance Talk: West coast finally learned some.

    So yesterday Virgibubles came by and taught B team some west coast it was much easyer then other teachers had made it seem. I think part of what made it easy is he didn't try and teach us four different patterns on the first lesson. Any ways i feel like I could actually do some west coast and feel comforable leading it at a dance. Question is When a west oast song comes on do you actually do west coast or do you lindy it. Keep in mind I think the answer to this depends on whats spots you emphisize your stretch at.

    If a song comes on that has a definite West Coast beat, I will dance West Coast.

    SpecK has a hard time with that. Have patience, Buzz.

    Many of the good west coast swing dancers in Utah are GREAT social dancers. Dancing with them has sooo helped my lead and over all dancing.

    When I hear a song with straight triples, from pop to blues to whatever, instead of swung triples I dance with more of a west coast style and feel. That's unless you're talking about this type of west coast swing.

    I wonder if there will be any west coast at the dance this sat. HotC will be the DJ from what I understand.
