    Orange County, CA
    March 9th - 11th, 2007

Come dancing in OC! We would love to host everyone from out of town. This is our 3rd year and we've had such great turnouts the last two years. We like to keep in the spirit of the lindy exchange and keep the prices low as well as share the actual venues we dance in every week. We'll have fun dancing, we'll share some drinks and party all night! Lindy hop is really big in The OC so come and check it out! We are a large county stuck in the middle between LA, Riverside, and San Diego! Plan on a great So Cal turnout all around!

Registration is now open for the 3rd annual Orange County Lindy Exchange! Only $35 for the entire event! Over 25 hours of dancing and 2 LIVE Bands!

    Friday Night:
    Atomic Ballroom
Our theme for the dance is Battle of the Big Band DJ's. Our DJ's will have to compete for your votes for who can play the best half hour set of one Big Band.

    Saturday Day:
    Lindy by the Pier
Come dance with us in Surf City Huntington Beach one of California's most popular beaches. Zacks by the Pier offers rentals and rather good food. They let us dance on their patio. It's awesome.

    Saturday Night:
Ray Bush and the BBC 5
'American Music with a British Accent'
Top Cats is OC's best dance venue. We are trying something new this year called Lindy Reunion where we make a special point to invite out all the dancers who used to dance.

    Sunday Evening:
LIVE Blues Band TBA at OC's favorite weekly venue Tia Juana's in Irvine. Following the band we will have our famous karaoke contest! Swing Dancers have Talent! You can get up and dance or compete! It's lots of fun! Remember to have a designated driver to the after party. You can drink here, but not there!

    Sunday After Party:
Come cool off! Plan your weekend so you can leave Monday Morning! Avant Garde Ballroom is walking distance from John Wayne Airport.

The closest airport is John Wayne Airport (SNA). Come early for more So Cal dancing! Search for cheap airfare on SideStep: http://www.sidestep.com/air/

I hope to see you out for another awesome event! Be sure to check out the website for pictures and videos from the past 2 years. If you have any questions feel free to email me.

    See you soon!

    The OC Lindy eXperience 2007
    Coming up fast March 9th, 10th, 11th, 2007

OCLX is always super fun, super social, and well attended. Our 3rd year features Ray Bush and his BBC 5 on Saturday Evening, and Candye Kane for blues dancing on Sunday Evening. We'll dance on the beach on Saturday afternoon, host our famous Karaoke contest on Sunday and have late night dancing every night! OC and surrounding counties have every type of swing dancer from social, hard core, baloba, blues, and neo swingers so you can expect great variety in the people and music.

We are trying something new for Saturday night this year called, "Lindy Reunion". Just in the last 10+ years I've been dancing so many dancers have come and gone and like me, you may have lost touch with people you really liked. If you know ANYONE who used to swing dance invite them out to join us for one night.

In the spirit of the lindy exchange we are keeping our prices as low as possible in an attempt to create a community event. You can get the whole weekend for $35. That's half the price of most other exchanges. That includes 2 great live bands!

We ordered a limited number of T-shirts this year so be sure to sign up online if you know you want one! Only $10.

You can register and sign up for housing online at http://www.oclindyexchange.com

We hope to see you soon!

    -Shesha and Nikki

If you're going to an exchange in march, go to sacramento. I went to both last year, and sac was 1000X better.

Meh. Didn't really enjoy OC as much... but if you have the money/time to do both..... why not I guess.

I think mostly just time is the issue, since it's only $35 for the whole weekend!
