So, is anything happening for New Year's Eve? Any parties, any dancing? Michelle, Kristen and I thought about having a party but we're not sure what we could do. We don't have a dance floor, our hot tub isn't working and we're poor. =(

    Is anything else going on?

I'm here, but New Years eve being on Sunday and all makes it harder. It would be a load of fun to throw a swing party like the one we had at Rachel's house last year.

I've been meaning to have a party at my parents new house on the west side of Provo. It would have to be a sock hop since they don't want shoes on their beautiful hardwood. I think all my nieces and nephews will be gone by then, but there are too many people around this week for me to volunteer my folks place, especially on a Sunday.

If people would give us a head count of who will be around, this would be easier to plan.

Provo's First Night New Year's celebration has a big band dance this year from 9-11:45 at the Provo Towne Centre Mall. I think it is around $4 for the whole evening and the food court and the movies are also open the whole evening. The shindig is actually going to be on Saturday night (this is mormon town and a swinging party on Sunday might not go over so well) so you could still go to Special K's for New Year's [Emoticon not found]

Is there somewhere we can go to find out more info about this?

Also, Jared is planning on having a party on Sunday starting around 8:00 for whoever wants to come. Bring snacks.

provo first night usually sucks. i went like four years in a row, and the band has never been that good, but the biggest reason for it not being good is that now one shows up. we would usualy have like three or four people there. maybe if we get every body that's still in town it could be fun.

    HAPPY NEW YEARS!

    A DAY EARLY!

Come jam with us at Provo First Night! Candice is bringing a crew from SLC too. (Oh, and come watch a former Logan swing dancer, Kat Tingey, sing and play guitar at 6:00!)

Too bad I didn't check the forum sooner. How many people went, and how was it? I got a text message from Michelle about a party at Tara's, but I don't know where Tara lives and Michelle didn't answer her phone. Oh well. There's always Jared's tonight. Who all will be there? Will there be sufficient leads and follows?

The First Night thing wasn't the greatest, but a lot of people showed up which made it worth going. I'm most likely going to Jared's tonight.

I haven't danced that hard for that long and had that much fun in a long time. Many thanks to Utah's stellar follows for coming. Almost all of our best follows were there. Enoch Train rocked my shoes off. What a fun crowd too. Oh man, and remember that old guy's amazing suit!! WOW!
