    Y=Ypsilanti
    A=Ann Arbor
    X=Exchange

    maybe they didn't use YAX because they want to be confused with a herd of large long-haired bovines that are indigenous to Asia.

    YAX is in fewer that 4 weeks-- in fact, it starts in about 24 days!!!

    What: rockin soulful dancing day and night, indoors and out
    Where: a cool place in a michigan land-- lots of character, very walkable, and rad michigan summer weather (yes, i called the weather rad)

    Why: let me tell you why. oh, let me tell you let me tell you. why=music that makes you want to move.
    why=some of the best djays from all over the place.
    why=the chance to dance to alberta adams (a blues legend!) in an old ladder factory.
    why=summer street parties.
    why=who doesn't want to say they've been to the only YPSILANTI in the country?
    why=did i mention blues, soul, motown, & gospel?
    why=those of you going to CUBE are gonna want some more! and those of you going to the canadadayexchange need to be warming up!
    why=this exchange is being planned by an international team of folks (okay, so canada is only 45 minutes away, but still...)
    why=we may just be the first exchange with BUTTONS! (why=if you're extra nice i'll even let you use my BUTTON-MAKER when you're here).

    Now, if you want to be guaranteed housing, you're really gonna need to register by June 1. After that, we'll try-- we really will give it our best shot, but no guarantees. Housing is pretty limited.
    Also dont forget Regular registration only goes on till June 1st after which it goes up another $15.

    Here's what you're gonna need to do.
    1) REGISTER by june 1 if you haven't already at www.swingtothepower.org.
    2) repost this or the attached message below to your lists/bboards/friends/strangers/muppets.
    3) add us on myspace (www.myspace.com/swingtothepower) or facebook (um, i guess i do that by sending you an invite? you can look at my events or something).
    4) tell all your friends.
    5) book your ticket/arrange your carpool/grow wings so you can fly.

    We that YAXers for real want to see you, as do all the other folks who have already registered. Actually, we don't just want to see you. We want to dance with you. For real.

    24 DAYS!! YAX!
