That would be so fun! I would love to bring her down and teach her how to swing! Except i dont believe her mom would go for it! But i guess we could always see! I think i might come down on thursday and hit a few dances till late friday/ealry saturday!
Too bad you couldn't bring your chica Ben. You did pretty well for that only being your 3rd time swing dancing. Must be genetic [Emoticon not found]
Ya, and the rest of the family didnt get it! [Emoticon not found] Thanks for the compliment, I probably already suck again though cuz i havent danced since ULX! I am pretty set on going to Sacremento though!

Way to go! Exchanges are a blast!
I loved Dad telling you to go to bed at a reasonable hour! I was like... Dad, you have no idea what an exchange is all about.
Buzz:I loved Dad telling you to go to bed at a reasonable hour! I was like... Dad, you have no idea what an exchange is all about.
ROFL! Oh yeah... I remember mentioning to my parents how much sleep I got that weekend, and I could almost hear them rolling their eyes.

my parents have learned enough about exchanges to tell me "be safe" instead of worrying about how much sleep i got (or didn't, for that matter)
Yeah I think mine have learned now... they certainly don't ask what hours I keep normally anymore... hehe
Yep. Mine are coming along nicely. A short little excerpt from one of the letters my mother sent out to the rest of the family:
Buzz's Mom:Dave seems to live quite the life, school, work and dancing to his hearts content, and girls galore.
Girls galore huh? I guess she saw the blues photo... [Emoticon not found]
Where do I sign up for the girls galore?

That's like someone's parent's calling them on the Saturday of the Denver exchange and saying "Remember, the Sabbath starts at midnight!" [Emoticon not found]
I never have believed that.... the Sabbath for me starts after I go to sleep and then wake up on sunday... same thing for the end....
i usually use that guideline. the only time i did the 24-hour rule was when i worked graveyard shifts, and then i'd say from 2 a.m.-2 a.m., but it changed a lot depending on what i was up to on Saturday (always tried to keep 24 hours though)
what bugs me is the people who seem to do a "sun-up to sun-down" rule, and then go out to eat Sunday evening. but...i shouldn't judge.
traci:what bugs me is the people who seem to do a "sun-up to sun-down" rule, and then go out to eat Sunday evening. but...i shouldn't judge.
That's exactly what bugs me.... I had a lot of guys in my ward (RM's, incidentally) that would go out at 12:01 monday morning to go get McDonalds, but somehow I don't think they were home exactly at midnight saturday evening after every date or activity....
ElChuy:I never have believed that.... the Sabbath for me starts after I go to sleep and then wake up on sunday... same thing for the end....
same here.
but wait... if "the holy ghost goes to bed at midnght" there won't be anyone to tell on you for going out to eat at 12:01...
bobthecow:"the holy ghost goes to bed at midnght"
right. then i guess all those times i was reading scriptures in the wee hours of the morning must have been indigestion. [Emoticon not found]
There's also the classic mormonism "Nothing good happens after 11 o'clock!" (sometimes 12, but whatever).... I always reply.... "You were probably conceived after 11 o'clock!"
I have 2 responses to that:
1. [Emoticon not found]
2. LOL!

Wait until I get team pictures posted. Then you shall be even more jealous. And rightfully so! [Emoticon not found]
Hey Ron, I'm considering your offer to be in the team. Fall semester 2020 sounds good? [Emoticon not found]
2009? What are you waiting that long for?
Buzz:Wait until I get team pictures posted. Then you shall be even more jealous. And rightfully so! [Emoticon not found]
They gonna be individual shots, group photos, what?
Just plain old group photos.
Ask for some copies of the ones Rachel took at practice...
SpecialK:Where do I sign up for the girls galore?
my roommate keeps threatening to start up a website called something like MailOrderBrides.com.

Go Mexican! Yeah, you run the risk of Latin Surprise, but those women bend over backwards to serve their men.

Lmao! Very true my brother, very true. Viva la raza!
Buzz:Go Mexican! Yeah, you run the risk of Latin Surprise, but those women bend over backwards to serve their men.
now, is that the surprise when you're teaching a discussion, then all of a sudden they're breastfeeding their 5-year-old kid? that was always a surprise.
Breastfeeding a 5 years old? Can I say ouch?
geek4life:Breastfeeding a 5 years old? Can I say ouch?
that's why it's such a surprise.

No, I think he was referring to the tendency after to first kid to be suddenly... uh... of a slightly different body shape.
And yeah, I never really got used to that. What was worse was sometimes they would whip one "bottle" out for the kid and then uncover the other one and start kneading it to get it warm for when the kid needed to switch. [Emoticon not found]

luckily, i never saw that one.
ElChuy got it right. The here's your first kid and then SURPRISE!
But yeah... I saw more 'bottles' on my mission than I had ever seen before or since.
Anyway, how did this topic get on my introduction thread? Hi, I'm Buzz. Check out what people say about me!
A friend of mine, John Cowan, told me a story once of a hispanic woman that was still breastfeeding her son when he was five. She was trying to wean him off but wasn't having much success so she started slapping her breast and saying that it was bad milk. The kid still wanted it and he was old enough to talk. I think when they can say they are hungry that is a good sign that it is time to stop.
As you can imagine... it kind of makes sharing the first vision a little difficult.... or ANY gospel principle... heh

Lol.. my mom says she weaned me real quick 'cause I always wanted to look at stuff, even while I was eating... so I didn't let go and would still turn around to look... [Emoticon not found]
So dancing is awesome, isn't it!?

That was a little disturbing! It seems Buzz doesnt like the topic we have drifted to!
wow.
and on a completely unrelated note, "Who is this buzz guy, anyway?"
bobthecow:wow.
and on a completely unrelated note, "Who is this buzz guy, anyway?"
Tim Allen.
Why would we want to talk about this Buzz guy (who is he?) when we can talk about the ins and outs of breastfeeding. Post your breastfeeding stories here.
ash:Post your breastfeeding stories here.
i don't remember. that was a long time ago...
