Usually pretty lame actually... "Top 40's music provided by Red Alert Entertainment"= crappy music by a white utah dj.... [Emoticon not found]
They end up playing a few neo-swing songs and the rest is usual church/byu dance fare....
I figured that'd be the case. BUT skc teams are performing, so that's cool.

Founded in 1984 by Brigham Young university Music faculty member, Steven Call, the Jazz Legacy Dixieland band has performed at community concerts and jazz festivals around the western United States and Japan. The band is one of the top collegiate Dixieland jazz bands in the nation.
The band's program includes authentic renditions of favorites by jazz legends Louis Armstrong, King Oliver, Jelly Roll Morton, Duke Ellington and others, as well as Dixieland classics such as When It's Sleepy Time down South, Tiger Rag and When the saints Go Marching In.
Outreach Options: In addition to a full performance, the Jazz Legacy Dixieland Band often presents workshops for young students. The workshops include demonstrations of jazz technique with different instruments with an introduction to the history of jazz music, particularly how Utah musicians have contributed to the medium. A question and answer session to address student's specific questions is included in their workshop.

Madsen recital hall is on the fourth floor of the HFAC, center area, east side. No space to dance, just a stage and audience seating.
