Hey, guys! This is Jeny (the little red head) I havent been swinging for about a month now and I figured it was about time I let you guys know why.
I have a heart problem which impares my ability to breathe. It also doubles my heart rate. Over the past year it has become increasingly worse and dancing has become more and more difficult. I LOVE DANCING! But I simply cannot keep up with the fast music anymore. I almost passed out the last time I went![Emoticon not found] and it's not anybodies fault but mine. I've been pushing myself too hard.
I'm in the process of scheduling open heart surgery for winter break OR summer term, depending on when they can get me in.
I don't know if I will be there on Saturday but if I'm not, I wanted to let you know what was going on. I get to go to the hospital sometime this week for another check up and hopefully I will know more about my "limits." I am praying that they won't take me off dancing perminantly. So,...cross you fingers for me and I'll see you when I see you.

Thanks for the update, Jeny. I've been wondering what the latest news was. My thoughts and prayers have been with you. Take care, and let us know how we can get your plate to you. [Emoticon not found]

Wow, I didn't know it was something that serious. I hope everything checks out and that you won't have to sacrifice something you love. My thoughts and prayers will be with you as well as you and your doctors decide what to do.

But the steamy slow blues dancing speeds your heart rate up too. Still could be dangerous.

Hm... I would even go as far to say simmer. I would probably say that he has surface evaporation if anything.

awww! I love you guys! The only problem is that we hardly play blues anymore![Emoticon not found]
Kay, so I went to the hospital yesterday to have and Echocardiogram and I think it went okay. At least for now. I get to see me cardiologist on Friday so that will give me a better idea[Emoticon not found]
You guys are so sweet! I was not expecting hardly any replies to my thread! I feel bad for Justin though. I was dancing with him when I started having troubles. I need to give him a hug.
I guess I just need to take it easy huh? Hopefully, I can request more "steamy blues music".
Oh, yeah! lol. Tom gave away my secret! I'm getting married! Which is exciting. He's very cute and worried about me. Cheri and Tom are the only ones who have seen my ring though. Thanks guys! I'll keep you posted if I find out anything more, okay?

So by heart surgery, are we talking a bypass or what?

I had a companion who had 4 holes in a ?pulmonary vein? which required open heart surgery. He got it at 20 so he could go on a mission, and they stress tested him before he could go. He seemed to be strong enough to bike all over in the humid Mississippi summer.

By surgery we mean replacing my valve. I have a bicuspat (sp?) valve that is faulty. There are three different procedures that could be attempted. We need to look at my old information, see where I am now and see the difference. That way the surgeon will know which procedure to attempt. All of them are pretty serious and...I'm scared but I have faith. I have a lot to live for[Emoticon not found] Like I said, I see my cardiologist on Friday and I should know more then.
