yes i know it is supposed to be UVSC but they changed the name to UVS. so there you have it. seth and i are trying to get this rolling and we need EVERYONES advice and input.
As far as I know, they have tried to do this a couple of times within the past 6 years and always seems to fail. I don't know why exactly. You'd have to ask Virgil or somebody else who was more involved with UVSC.
ill come to your swing club and dances if you have them ashes. I say just go for it and see what happens ill bet you can pull it off and then we can have more places and times to dance [Emoticon not found]

I recommend you guys have your club dances/meetings on Wednesday nights.
this is going to be a lot of work on my part and getting it all together. so are you guys really going to help make this a success?
I'll have to figure out my schedule before I can answer that question. The problem being that Wednesday was my only night off last year, and I kind of liked that.

I'll support you as much as I can. Is this gonna be a lindy venue or is it gonna be more open than that? What are you thinking?
well right now it is really up in the air. but seth and i are doing it. and lots of people have suggested wednesday nights. it will be a venue. but i dont know how all of it will go and the funds we need to have and what not.
Lindy venue eh?... Don't know how many lindy hoppers you have in the provo area... Maybe you have more west coast people... Wouldn't know really..so I guess I'm just rambling... Blah blah blah... Good luck with that.. I understand there is a lindy only venue opening up in a cafe in downtown slc... It looks pretty cool.. We will see if it actually becomes reality or not..

really odd. tonight i saw my math teacher at the dance. i bet she would be more than happy to be an advisor for the uvs swing club.
Seth told me that the UVS club may not have a dance every week but promote BYU's dance and host an event instead. What do people think about that? I think it's a good idea because we already have the skillet on Fridays and BYU on Saturdays. Another weekly event might just divide things and weaken the local scene rather than strengthen it.

it depends on what night they have their dance. i really don't think it will work if all they do is promote another schools dance and have one event. i don't know how any one will know about what's going on. but then again, who knows. as far as dividing the scene, if they did it wed or thur night it would just add another night to dance, not divide anything. it just depends on how the rest of the dancers support them.
