    there were 8565 total posts

chewie had 15% of the total posts on this site.

    bob had 14%

buzz and geek each had almost 9%

pops has just a few less... around 8%

that's 55% of the total posts on the forum... looks like five people have way too much time on their hands.

the top ten posters have posted 7108 times. that means 12% of the total forum users account for 83% of the posts...

traci was the top posting female with around 8% of the total posts. girls need to step it up.

We had hot Ashley going their for a while, but she's really dropped out of the picture. Chewie hasn't been causing as much trouble as he had in the past. My post count however, won't climb too much because I put a lot of thought and time into most posts.

    I suppose with a third of Bob's post count, I'm at 5%.

I need to step it up.

    Or step down.

Or maybe everyone else should step it up? Everyone else being those that aren't the top 10 posters.

    hmmmmmmm

Thanks bob, I was wondering about the statistics. [Emoticon not found] You should do the same thing on swingutah.

No, I'm just a slow methodic writer. I also try to avoid adding to the noise when the topic is going somewhere.

scott, you take pride in the fact that you are a "slow, methodic writer" and take time to write out insightful posts which you believe benefit and improve the community here on the SwingKids forums.

how does telling people that their posts aren't worth your time, or "pointless," improve the atmosphere here? do you honestly think that you can somehow shame people into writing things that seem to be more on-topic? what is your point in overtly disrespecting and insulting people who you claim to be friends with?

please, next time take a little more thought and time before you complain about pointless posting, and quit being a troll.

Thank you for continuing to read too much into what I say. I write slowly, therefore I tend to write less. Full Stop.

All right, you're on to me. I'm really a giant post count whore. From now on I won't be ashamed to practice word association on any given thread and will abandon my condescension for thread derailers. I will spam the forums with stories of emus and toe nails. I will give shout outs, amens and lols. I'll show you, I'll show ALL OF YOU !!!

But I just can't bring myself to double post yet. That's just dirty.

as of the time of this post... i:

    there were 8565 total posts

chewie had 15% of the total posts on this site.

    bob had 14%

buzz and geek each had almost 9%

pops has just a few less... around 8%

traci was the top posting female with around 8% of the total posts. girls need to step it up.

5 months (to the day) later...

11,914 total posts. most of them of questionable value, at best...

108 users registered for the forum.

it looks like the top four posters (chewie, me, traci, and buzz) account for 6020 of those posts. that's 50%, kids. the gap appears to be widening between the "i have no life" posters and the "casual browsing" crowd.

the top 10% of the posters (11 users) account for 10,433 posts, or about 88% of the total. that's up from around 80% of the posts, only five months ago.

    way to go, kids.

traci has indeed stepped it up. she moved into third place, displacing buzz, geek, and pops. she's now got 11% of the total posts.

we now have three girls (hi ashes and ashley) in the top ten percent. i don't know whether to be happy for this great female accomplishment, or to wish them my condolences.

t_roach has been giving the top posters a run for their money as well. he moves into sixth place. way to go!

this distraction brought to you by "i don't want to study anymore. it makes my head hurt"

unless you deleted each post manually, the post totals would remain the same... phpbb doesn't recalculate post counts when you delete an entire thread.

    Amen to that.

Re-calculating the post counts after deleting an entire thread is easy. It'd take one measly little SQL query (I say, without looking at the database).
