The John Hafen 1st Annual Memorial Utah Artists Expo

APEUS Music , Boothe Brothers Music, Paradox Productions, The Royal Palace, Emerson-Smith College, Arts High and the Springville Arts Museum are just a few of the sponsors for the upcoming Utah Artists Expo in honor of the historic Utah artist, John Hafen.

The Utah Artists Expo will feature competitions in areas of visual arts as well as performing arts. These areas include:

Each category will 2 divisions:

1. Youth- artists 17 & under

2. Adult- artists 18 & over

Each category will have 2 winners:

1. The Critic's Choice

2. The Audience Choice.

Artists are encouraged to bring family and friends to their competition. All Preliminary competitions concerts are $3 for audience members

There will be great prizes including:

A Grand Prize of $1000 for the Grand Winner plus many other prizes & awards.

Visual Arts winners will hang at the Springville Art Museum.

Performing Arts winners will perform at Arts Park and open for The Three Baritones Concert, Tuesday, August 15th.

July 17th, 18th, 19th- Registration begins for the Utah Artists Expo. Registration will be held at The Royal Palace Theatre 165 N. Main St. in Spanish Fork from 1 PM- 9 PM. Registration is $35 for a single artist; $50 for a group.

July 22nd- The Competition Opener- Battle O' the Bands sponsored by Boothe brothers Music and Paradox Productions at the Royal Palace. This very successful yearly event is this year's official opener for the Expo competitions. The winning band will not only win the regular Battle O' the Band cash prize but will be eligible to compete in the Expo grand finals. Bands must contact Boothe Bros. Music (801) 798-7650 to register.

July 25th- August 9th Preliminary Competitions will begin in various locations around Utah County. Competing Artists will be given their location after Registration.

August 10th, 11th, & 12th Category Finals - All categories will have 2 winners in both age categories and in Critic & Audience Choice.

August 14th - Grand Finals 2 Performing Arts Winners & 2 Visual Arts Winners will be selected. The Three Baritones Concert at Arts Park, in Springville, with Grand Winners in Performing Arts opening the show. The fabulous Three Baritones will be in Utah for this one summer show! Grand Winners in Visual Arts will have their work on display at the Springville Art Museum.
