Does it give even more action if you drop the whole roll of mentos In?

I guess we could do several tests. you know... be really scientific and such.

not as much as you'd think. more is not always better.

but if you have some time to prepare for it, we've found that freezing the mentos and pounding them into tiny bits with a hammer helps a ton.

Do you think it's because they are harder to dissolve when frozen or something?

Ah so it's the tiny bits that make it more effective.... why is that?

Something to do with the dispersal and air between the particals right? I don't really remember the specifics...

yes! (pankcake circus chuyster--it's a restaurant in sacramento) and we need to bring along buzz so we can joke about leaving him behind while he's asleep in the booth. and make a bunch of lame nonsensical jokes that creep the waiter out. 'cause everything's funny at 6 a.m. after you've been up all night dancing. [Emoticon not found]

It's chemistry. Reaction speed is heavily determined by the surface area of the two reactants involved. Thus, crushing them into tiny bits increases the surface area, and you get a much faster reaction (aka - big boom)
