My friends are hard-core Alias fans, but they are trying to catch up on the current season. Is there a way to download this seasons episode? (Esp. cool if it's high quality vids) We found www.tvnow.org but it looks fishy. Please advise.

bittorrent is your friend... i reccomend www.mininova.org, or www.torrentspy.com. You will need a bittorrent client, but Azureus and Bittornado are both good.

Woh, wait a minute. My question wasn't clear enough I guess. How do they know that tvnow.org and others like it aren't hoaxes/scams just waiting to steal their credit card numbers?

It would appear that my answer was misunderstood as well. The term "Bittorrent" refers to a file sharing protocol originally written for Linux, but made popular among PC users later on. Instead of like in normal p2p programs (Kazaa, Limewire, etc) where Person A has file, and Persons B-E "line up" electronically to get said file from Person A one by one, in the bittorrent protocol Person A's computer (referred to as a "seed"[Emoticon not found] breaks up the file electronically, sends a different piece of the file to Persons B-E (referred to as "leeches"[Emoticon not found] and after they recieve their piece they continue simultaneously recieving a new piece from the seed and sharing their own piece with the other leeches.

In order to download a .bittorrent file, you need a bittorrent client like the aforementioned Azureus or Bittornado. The sites I mentioned are completely free, searchable databases if you will, chock full of bittorrent goodness. You can download entire seasons of tv shows as one torrent, or individual episodes. All for absolutely nothing, and without any nasty credit card requirements.

I downloaded the last four episodes of House MD today, and they are fully watchable, high quality vids.... so you can rest easy on that account as well.

BTW, this isn't just for tv shows... music, tv shows, movies, even music videos can all be found as bittorrents...

    Hmmm... It's going 1kb/s. I'm trying uTorrent and torrentspy.com

Oops that was "downspeed". Upspeed is like 20-40 kB/s.

so you're sharing 40 times what you're getting?

what's the seed to leech ratio of your torrent?

BitComet is the best. I usually limit my uploads and get torrents that don't enforce seed/leach ratios.

This is getting annoying. Now I can't even play the .avi file. I have divx. Weird!
