Justin can you fix this poll for me. It won't let me edit the poll part of the message. The last response was supposed to say "never tried it but I'm game."

Sushi ga dai suki desu!!!
Sushi--From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia:In Japan the word sushi refers to a broad range of food prepared with sumeshi (酢飯[Emoticon not found] or sushi meshi (寿司飯[Emoticon not found], which is vinegared rice. Outside Japan, sushi is often taken to mean raw fish. It is sometimes confused with sashimi, which is delicately sliced seafood served with only a dipping sauce.
In other words, if you fear fish, don't worry.
I've had some great sushi in Provo. Two shops come to mind...
Oh ya, I had some grocery store sushi recently, now that made me gag. Ick, dry rice, etc... ::blech::
sashimi is quite good as well...
I've never tried sushi, but I think I'd be up for as long as it was something that was cooked. I was going to go with a group when I was in New York, but they went when I was already out dancing.
I have enjoyed some, though they were probably Cali rolls. I love seafood, but I don't know about the wierder stuff, and cooked is always safer. Especially when you never get any sleep, so your immune system is on the weak side.
Fish actually tastes less "fishy" when its raw and prepared by a good sushi/sashimi chef. Melts in my mouth [Emoticon not found] But ya, there's plenty of non-fish/non-raw-fish options. For example, I highly recommend spider rolls as an exotic looking, but EXTREMELY tasty option.
And, because, well, we were still there, we decided to finish off with a spider roll. Soft-shell crab cooked tempura style, then rolled up, still warm, in a sushi roll with avocado and cucumbers. If you like soft-shell crabs it’s a really nice end to a sushi meal. It’s also a great introduction for someone new to sushi who isn’t quite ready to try a lot of raw fish right off the bat.

btw, I have to mention that I grew up around people that loved sushi, but I hated seaweed, so I never tried anything other than inari-zushi (rice wrapped in fried tofu) until after my mission. I went to visit japan and I was like, "alright I'm gonna have to go for it while I'm here." And the rest is history -- I'm a sushi-oholic now =D

What two shops grant?
I agree. Grocery store suishi is disgusting!
I'm double checking with my sis on the sushi shops.
And I think it's funny you spell it suishi. Is it pronounce Sweeshy? [Emoticon not found]
I spell it sushi, you spell it suishi... let's call the whole thing off

demae's cheap on tuesdays... and i've heard that asuka has a fairly reasonable all-you-can-eat.
you've gotta watch out for all you can eat sushi, though...
Demae was one of them... The other is on State across from the mall... by the Italian Place (which is SOOOoo yummy btw).
Yes Damae is very yummy and reasonably priced. I also have been to Happy Sumo also yummy but nicer so more expensive. What's the place on state? I haven't heard of that one.
Happy Sumo (or maybe just one of it's neighbors) went out of business. It might have been Happy Sumo . . .
Ya, Happy Sumo is all show but doesn't have much where it counts. The place on State is a sushi and teppanyaki joint. ... Forgot the name though. Been there twice.
