    Good news! Zanzibar went smokeless as of Jan 1, 2006 - no more smoky nights (...well, at least the smoke won't be from cigarrettes or cigars.) [Emoticon not found]

    We are hitting the jazz club March 1st, good times resume! Fat Soul will be laying down the groove that night. We always have a blast, hope to see you there!

    Address: 679 South 200 West, Salt Lake City - Located right behind the Red Lion Hotel in the small shopping center near Iggy's & Brewvies. Carpool is going from Provo/Orem.

    No lessons on weeknights. The band usually plays from 830-9ish p.m. to 1230-1ish a.m. We carpool from Provo/Orem and usually arrive about 9.

    There is no cover if you buy food or two drinks (soda is fine). Otherwise cover is $3-5 depending on who works the door.

    Bring your requests - the band plays largely from requests (and tips), so bring your ideas/dollars to hear the tunes you want. It is a funk/soul/jazz band, so think a bit broader than just big band swing. That's what makes the night fun - good friends, new tunes, and great times!

    Can't wait for Z-BAR!!! Shoot, blues requests?! COOL... I'm thinking five o'clock in the morning blues! Can they do it justice? [Emoticon not found] See ya'll there!

    meet at my apartment complex (or call if you need to be picked up 801 836 0943) at 8 pm to carpool to Zanzibar tonight. I live at Cinnamon tree which is behind Arby's on the corner of freedom (200 W) and bulldog (1230 N.) northwest of campus. It's cool to leave your car in my parking lot.
