Which is a real shame.

I'm tempted to contact Jan Sharman and ask her what else she expects students to do in Provo on a Saturday night in summer. Killing a constructive, socially and physically healthy regular activity on campus just encourages students to find less constructive and unhealthier recreation.

Hey everybody! Carpool with us to M'Shimmy's party in Sugarhouse, SLC.

If people need a 1 way trip to SLC tonight I'll be happy to oblige them, but I'm not coming back to Provorem till Zach and Holly's reception on Tuesday.

I'm worked up about limited SKC summer action since I learned a couple of summers ago on Saturday nights, and there are poor benighted people out there who will miss their chance to add the joys of swing to their life because BYUSSR has a stick up their. . . grrr. . .

Seeing as Fall semester won't quite have started yet, it'll probably be at the house, if anything.

Normally it's the Saturday after the first day of classes (Tuesday September 4). Normally though, there are so many people in town for the start of school the Saturday before (Sept 1) that there are TONS of people at any unofficial dance (at the house or on campus) The year I was president, that unofficial dance had like 150 people at it.

Can we handle that big of a crowd at the house?? We would definitely need two DJs, 8-player mario kart / smash brothers, and ... valet parking [Emoticon not found]

I'd volunteer to make it happen, but I suspect no one would opt for it at the rates I'd charge. [Emoticon not found]

BYU has their first Swing Kids dance tonight at the Wilkinson main ballroom.. Since nobody has posted any info on it I figured I would... its free so Everyone should come

The Loganites had a great time last Saturday. We just wanted to shout out a thanks for the BYU Swing Kids and thank you Ron for your music!!!

Or if somebody can schedule for their ward (usually clerks) or has a friend who owes them a favor, scheduling will usually give preferential treatment to stakes and wards.

Hm... that one I don't know. But I have never heard of it before. That may be possible if it is not a BYU ward.

If it comes down to it, I'm still a little sore about never having had a dance party at my old house. I could probably keep my sister from getting too mad if seven or eight of us were dancing over there. [Emoticon not found]

I know it. If I were still living there, I'd say bring it on, and we'll cram as many as we can onto the living room floor. As it is, I'd prefer to keep it to a number that will actually fit.
