Thank goodness for moms.
Bruge (sp?) is in my car now [Emoticon not found]
Btw, in Logan we've found that indecisiveness and swing dancers are synonymous.
Hooray! Ashes is still going!
And, it's Brouge....
Here is the latest. Grant is driving. Brouge is driving and Virgil is driving.
I love how we have an hourly update as to who is in whos car lol [Emoticon not found]
Latest update: Ryan is driving, Thomas is flying, Virgil is driving, Scott left already, I'm crazy but driving (or driving me crazy), and Ash is driving. [Emoticon not found]
only slightly kidding about the crazy part [Emoticon not found]

Level of craziness dropped a bit with that happy news. btw, I want to eat somewhere extra [Emoticon not found] for dinner on Saturday. I'm gonna chat with my Denver friend and get some recommendations.

now that the first car has taken off i hope that the drama car makes it!
The first two cars have actually taken off - you are forgetting SpecialK and his passengers (if he has any)
ah well his car has had the least drama!
and we're here... goodnight.
I'm now all alone on this forum crying myself to sleep.
you poor thing
geek4life:I'm now all alone on this forum crying myself to sleep.
No worries. Me too. Say hi to my boy Solomon while you all are there. I have attempted to go to this exchange for the last 3 exchanges (that includes this one) and no happiness for me =(.
ashes:ah well his car has had the least drama!
Eunice, my burgundy '93 Subaru legacy has been totaled out twice. My little brother got in a crash a couple of weeks ago, and I only got her back from the body shop to use on Monday.
I then took Eunice to a mechanic to get a pre-trip checkup and was told that the timing belt was due to be changed. This is inside the engine and fairly work intensive. While in there, they found that a belt tensioner was leaking and needed to be replaced too. Several hundred dollars since the crash, I wonder if we shouldn't have just let her go (but don't tell her I said that).
I didn't have anybody around to drop the car off or pick it up, so I walked over a mile home after dropping it off and had Buzz drive her home after the bonfire. This meant I didn't have a chance to pack her in advance, so I spent the morning finishing packing and we barely got on the road before noon (we includes Holly who rode out early as a surprise). Unfortunately we got turned around in Denver and what should have been an 8:30 arrival at the Merc became 9:15.
Hopefully the exchange is better than the Merc, as I didn't get to dance with many locals.
After the Merc, the drama continued as Zach's battery died, and we had to stick around to wait for a ride since Eunice was just too full of my junk to cram in two more people.
Unfortunately, there was no feasible way for me to stay for the actual exchange and safely be in Austin for work Monday morning, and I continued my drive to Texas. The final bit of drama took place when the gasket at the top of Eunice's windshield flew off just outside of Abilene. I felt and heard it happen, but it took me several minutes of examination to figure out what happened.
Ouch.... car troubles. A lot of them...
I got a flat tire at the saturday night dance.
but i think that atrocity of engineering designed to get your spare tire off was the kicker...
Denver was awesome.
As awesome as a possum!

That was quite possibly the weirdest post you have ever made Grant. And yes, the exchange was off the heezy.
Pics!!
Who's posting pictures?!
i never took any pictures... gumby has a few?
don't forget to post your grattitude / keep in touch on the 23skidoo forum. Oh and you'll find some pictures posted there too.
bobthecow:but i think that atrocity of engineering designed to get your spare tire off was the kicker...
true! that was horrid.
denver was the coooolest!!!! i was just dissapointed that many of the locals only showed up for saturday. there were at least three people i never got to dacne with that i really wanted to dance with. bummer!!
The Merc didn't seem that big on Thursday night and I didn't stick around for the exchange itself to get the full benefit. I did however dance with a couple Denver follows last night at the Fed in Austin. Funny how that works.
Didn't seem that big venue wise or turnout wise?
yes, though it was crowded for a while.
