We hope everyone is geared up and ready for the incredible workshop and dance going on this weekend. It's going to be awesome! We have the world famous Ria DeBiase coming in from California to teach us. This is going to be an excellent chance for beginning, intermediate, and advanced dancers to learn new and exciting things. This will also include a Jack and Jill competition (for those of you who are new to it, here's the wiki - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_and_Jill_(dance) ).

Workshops:
10:00 AM - Advanced Fundamentals:
The basics of connection you never knew,...here we'll cover everything from weight shifts and pulse to more advanced ideas about stretch and momentum.
11:40 AM Just Kickin' It:
This class will go far beyond the basic 8 count standards of 20's and 30's charleston. By breaking down the bascis we'll show you how to make your charleston more musical and create your own variations on the spot.

1:45 PM Get Acquainted With Yourself:
How can you move someone else to the music, if you don't know how to express it in your own body first? This class will focus on a variety of solo movement, exploring masculine and feminine styling for both jazz and blues music.
2:55 PM Keep a Song in Your Soul:
This class class will start with the foundations of jazz music, covering both what makes music swing as well as how swing music is structured. Using this knowledge we'll explore how to add dynamic and musical variations to your dancing.
